*Unit 5 vocabulary test is Friday *in order to qualify for Friday's incentive, all work is due before end of day Wednesday! This includes IXL! *Each night, you have a chapter to read in Immortal Life and study guide questions to complete. Make sure you stay caught up with the reading. *Retake work for Unit 4 vocabulary & retake tickets are due Monday (correct test & create a study guide of all synonyms and antonyms for Unit 4's words) *Immortal Life quizzes over chapters 1-11 will be returned Tuesday. Retake work will be explained then. Some students did not have the reading completed which makes it impossible to do well on a reading quiz. Please check in each night to make sure the reading is complete. Reading independently is a necessary skill for high school and beyond, and students must be prepared to participate in our class discussions. *Retakes or Making up Missed Quizzes deadlines due this week: Unit 4 spelling (no retake work required) & MISSED Bill of Rights Quiz due by Friday, October 21. Retake work for the Bill of Rights quiz will be given out later this week. *Unit 4 vocabulary test is Friday. Please use vocabulary.com and the practice packet to have a working understanding of the words. Packets are due Friday. *Chapter 2 reading and questions are due MONDAY, Oct. 17. Several students do not yet have a copy of The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks. Many students were able to get $3 used copies at McKays, and it is still cheap on Amazon. Most of the reading will be done out of class to preserve class time for discussion and focusing on analysis and writing. Make sure to bring your copy daily! *Prologue and Chapters 1-3 questions are due TUESDAY, October 18! Answers should be neatly written or typed.
